Change Dump Enhancements
Features:
- Allow the specification of a SYSMDUMP or SYSABEND DD statement in your CPCS run JCL, and have a new SYSMDUMP/SYSABEND allocated after each abend in the same manner as SYSUDUMP is currently deallocated and reallocated.
- Allow for the deallocation and reallocation of SYSUDUMP (SYSMDUMP/SYSABEND) after a MICR abend.
- Provides a command to dynamically change the dump DD statement for the current execution of CPCS.
- Provides a command to generate an SVC dump to a user defined dataset or MVS defined dataset.
Benefits:
- User determines the type of dump to be generated.
- All dump types (SYSUDUMP, SYSMDUMP, SYSABEND) treated the same.
- Each dump separated, including MICR abend dumps.
- Provides the ability to change dump types for a specific problem duplication.
- Provide an SVC dump as required/desired without computer operations intervention into the dataset of your choice.
Notes:
- The deallocation/reallocation of SYSMDUMP is available as IBM APAR PQ12117 (PTF UQ34786/UQ34787).
- CPCS must be running authorized to utilize the SVC dump function.
- Y2K compliant.
- Enterprise-wide license agreement.
- One time change which covers maintenance and future enhancements.
